when i think about the way i live my life, there are certain "rules" and life lessons that i have been taught.
write thank you notes
never, under any circumstance wear leggings
be gracious
when it comes to money, balance your checkbook and make spreadsheets
never let friends leave the bar alone
everything is better in high heels
listen to your parents
don't touch/pick at/rub/squish your face
buy local
know the kind of man you deserve and do not settle for less
swiffering does not equal cleaning
say i love you
these rules, regardless of their importance, build our character and make us who we are
so when i saw the blog
" 1001 rules for my unborn son" i spent hours laughing, nodding and tearing up....
here are a few of my favorites (and ones i wish all boys were taught)...
#22: girls like boys who shower
#48: in the long run, loyalty trumps ambition every time
#99: nothing good ever happens after 3;00 am. i promise
#127: know her dress size, dont ask.
#158: the best thing to do in the rain is be quiet and listen
#187: smile at pretty girls
#219: if you make a mistake, forgive yourself and move on
#245: look people in the eye when you thank them, especially waiters
#273: catch and release
#331: be subtle. she sees you
#388: if you dont know what a knob does, dont fool with it
and the best part is that the blog is becoming a book...
